Sixty-one pages that carry you into a Kyoto I had never seen before I saw it through rope, through breath, through the particular silence that kinbaku asks of you. This was my first time. Not staged distance, not the polished frame I've built a career around, but the raw unlearning of control, page by page, image by image, word by word.
The photographs sit beside poetry because some of what happened in that room couldn't be held by image alone. Together they trace something closer to memory than to portfolio: the tension before the first knot, the strange peace that comes after resistance stops, the way a city can feel entirely reinvented when you let yourself be undone in it.
This isn't performance. It's testimony, made beautiful.
